Josep Cabrinetty (Palma de Mallorca, 1822 - Alpens, 1873) was a liberal military officer who distinguished himself in the fight against the Carlists in the Third Carlist War. In 1873, shortly after the proclamation of the First Republic, he saved the town of Puigcerdà from the Carlist siege. He died a few months later in an ambush.
