Benito Urban and the architecture firm LZB Arkitektura and Hiritik At have carried out an exclusive and personalized design of the new furniture for the main square of Astigarraga (Gipuzkoa).
Astigarraga, a municipality located a few kilometers from San Sebastián, of which it was part until the late 1980s, is known not only for being the epicenter of Basque cider tradition but also for its growing popularity in recent years.
Benito Urban and the architecture firm LZB Arkitektura and Hiritik At have been selected to carry out this project due to their ability to create customized solutions.
The project consists of a comprehensive custom design of urban furniture and a playground that will allow the remodeling of the Sagardo plaza in Astigarraga, as the area already had benches and a park. The local government board approved the remodeling of this space with the aim of recovering its character and at the same time turning it into an area to be enjoyed; all this inspired by the sinuous shapes of the ground.
