This initiative involved replacing 65 halogen and sodium vapor luminaires with LED technology, not only allowing for an estimated monthly saving of over 2,500 euros for municipal funds but also ensuring notable energy efficiency.

This iconic vantage point has left an imposing impression on the retina of thousands of Alicante residents, Sax locals, and visitors over the years, becoming a distinctive symbol of the Alto Vinalopó region.

With the implementation of the new LED luminaires, a lifespan of over 100,000 hours is expected, representing significant durability and reliability. Additionally, energy consumption will be drastically reduced, from 50,000 watts to only 20,400 watts, contributing positively to environmental sustainability and the economic savings of the municipality.

The transition to lights of different shades in the castle not only represents significant savings but also offers the possibility to enhance special occasions with tones such as pink, blue, or green. These lights will be programmed with timers to ensure they automatically turn on at sunset, eliminating the need for manual activation, as was done until now.
